Sea Lions, Wallabies, Kangaroos, Koalas, Oh My

Today we took another full day tour of the island with our awesome guide Jamie.  First we walked along the beach and got within ten feet of the sea lions.  We needed to stay close as a group otherwise we were told the sea lions would try to fight us.

A baby nursing.

Then we saw a farm.

Then we had tea on a beautiful beach.

It was great!

Then we found some kangaroos.  This one was pretty big.

Then I spotted a koala in the tree.  I was pretty proud as they are bit tough to find.

Then we saw a wallaby.

And we stopped for lunch.  While wondering through the woods while they setup lunch, we saw a koala run up the tree.

Lunch looked delicious, it was a local seafood barbecue but is was well over a hundred degrees out so I was way too hot to eat.  The guide quickly took us too a beach to cool off.

It was a beach hidden through the rocks he went to as a kid.

I felt much better after the swim and at my lunch which we packed up on the ride.  We then saw many more wallabies.

And then walking through the woods we saw a bunch of kangaroos.

It was an awesome day because of our guide who was super passionate and knowledgable about Kangaroo Island.
