From Wanaka to Te Anau

We headed out on another amazing drive from Wanaka to our next stop, Te Anau.

Another amazing lake, not sure what it is called.

We saw a place to pick your own cherries, it was a first so we stopped.

They were delicious.

Everything was covered in nets to stop the birds.

They grew lots of fruit there.

We then stopped at an old mining town we stumbled upon.

We then stopped at a vineyard and cheesery called Gibson Valley.

Then we stopped at Arrowtown which is also old mining town (gold mining).

And had some delicious seafood.

Jen got herself into some trouble but we sorted it out with the law.

Then we arrived in Te Anau.  The lake was a couple meters hire than usual so there was a bit of flooding--that was the case everywhere we went in New Zealand.

I caught a huge trout.
