Happy New Years from Sydney

We decided to spend New Years with two million of our closest friends in Sydney.  We headed over to MacQuarie's Point at around 1PM and it was a short one hour wait to get through security and we found a spot for our picnic.

They had lots to keep the crowds entertained.  There were aerial acrobats.

We could see the Opera House, sort of.

We met some nice people in line and sat with them.  It was a lot of fun even though it was crowded.

There were messages on the bridge for marriage and wishing congratulations.

It got even prettier as the sun went down.

Jen took a nap and a possum cuddled up against her leg and scared her quite a bit.

There were fireworks at 9PM for kids.  We were surrounded by multiple barges.  Great view!

Then they had a parade of boats all lit up.

Then the real fireworks at midnight.  It was very unique to see them shot off from the bridge.

Then back to the hotel.
