Hoi An Here We Come

Another amazing breakfast at another incredible hotel (The Nam Hai)...

They even made fresh gluten free bread to go for our day...

We toured the sites around old town...

And toured the market...

There are tons of clothing makers...

And lanterns...

We checked out the Japanese covered bridge...

And more of the stores around town...

And the Tan Ky house which was built in the 19th century...

The town floods almost every year except this one (thank goodness because it is the rainy season) so many of the buildings have lines showing where the water went to.

This is a bed that people sleep on even today.

More suit shops...

It is amazing how skilled the artisans are in various crafts...

Then to a Fujian temple...

That's incense burning from the ceiling...

More water lines from floods...

This is embroidered freehand.  There were better ones that looked like pictures but they wouldn't let me take a picture.  They can copy a picture in three months.

Then to Brother's Cafe for lunch; okay food but very pretty.

More lanterns...

And boats...

And embroidery...

Back to the hotel...

Paradise...  Although the water was too rough to enter due to the storm in the Philippines...

Dinner at the restaurant...  Free...  The hotel is empty; only 45 people when it can hold 480 which is why I think they gave us dinner to try and keep people in the hotel.
